Pennsylvania Highlands Community College releases cross country, golf schedules
JOHNSTOWN, Pa – The Pennsylvania Highlands Community College cross country and golf teams have released their respective 2025 season schedules.
The Black Bears' golf team is set to compete in seven Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference matches, with the contest Oct. 3 at Windber Country Club serving as Penn Highlands’ lone home contest of the season.
All seven matches will be against WPCC opponents Butler County Community College, Community College of Allegheny County and Westmoreland County Community College.
Penn Highlands will play Aug. 29 and Sept. 19 at Lake Arthur Golf Club in Butler, Sept. 8 and 29 at Glengarry Golf Links in Latrobe and Sept. 12 and 26 at North Park Golf Course in Allison Park.
The WPCC Tournament is set to take place Oct. 6 and 7 at The Links at Spring Church in Apollo. Following that, the Black Bears will gear up for a spring season, running from March to June. During this time, schools will vie for the Region 20 championship and a spot in the NJCAA golf championships.
The cross country team will compete in four invitational races, beginning Aug. 29 at Westmoreland County Community College. The Black Bears go to the Potomac State College Invitational Sept. 13, the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Invitational Oct. 4 and the Mount Aloysius College Invitational Oct. 11
Penn Highlands will then travel back to Westmoreland Oct. 25 for the WPCC/Region 20 meet. The Black Bears will have the opportunity to qualify for the NJCAA cross country championships held Nov. 8 at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
