Serena Williams is proud of her older sister.
Venus Williams tied the knot to actor Andrea Preti in Florida earlier this month. The couple had a lavish five-day celebration.
Following the wedding, the tennis legend took to Instagram to share how happy she was for her sister.
"My sister’s keeper. Venus, where do I even begin?" Serena wrote on Instagram Dec. 23, alongside photos of she and Venus as well as other snapshots from the wedding. "From the backyard courts to the biggest stages in the world, you’ve always led with grace, strength, and a heart bigger than any trophy. Watching you step into this next chapter surrounded by love felt like watching the sun rise…steady, powerful, and full of promise."
She continued, "You’ve been my built-in best friend, my protector, my teacher, and my reminder to always walk in purpose. Seeing you this happy, this loved, this radiant… it means everything to me."
Serena concluded her message writing, toasting "to love, to partnership, to laughter, and to a lifetime of choosing each other every single day," the 44-year-old added, "I couldn’t be prouder to stand beside you, not just today, but always."
It's unclear how long Venus and Preti were dating, but they have been fueling romance rumors since July 2024. In February 2025, they began fueling engagement rumors when the tennis star was photographed with a ring on her left hand.
The couple first got married in Italy back in September, but were legally married in a Palm Beach County courthouse last weekend.
Serena married Alexis Ohanian in 2017, and they have two daughters together: Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., born in 2017 (nicknamed Olympia), and Adira River Ohanian.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion shared back in September to People that she helped her sister see what kind of hairstyles she would like to have for her big day.
"She wanted me to help her with some dresses, or was it hairstyles?" Serena also recalled of the specific requests. "She wanted literally 14 hairstyles — and she was like, 'What do you think?' So she sent me her options and within 30 minutes I had them not only done, but in a PDF file, what hairstyle looked best on everyone."
Serena was up for the task and was able to get her sister what she needed.
"I'm the person that arranges things, I'm like the planner. I plan everything like the event," she emphasized. "I'm the person that gets things done."
