Anthony Kim shoots best 36-hole score of his comeback, makes cut in Asian Tour event
Anthony Kim's playing status for 2026, but in the meantime, he's playing his best golf since returning to professional golf.
After two seasons on the LIV Golf as a wildcard, Kim was relegated for finishing in the tour's drop zone for a second consecutive year. But the three-time PGA Tour winner made his second cut in three Asian Tour starts this fall on Friday. And this week marks his best 36-hole performance of his comeback.

By shooting rounds of 68 and 67, Kim comfortably made the cut at the Hong Kong Open.
“It’s the best I’ve hit the ball since coming back,” Kim told Bunkeredon Friday. “I just haven’t got the ball in the hole. I definitely finally see the work I’m doing. I’m excited."
The 40-year-old finished T-44 at the Jakarta International Championship earlier this month and missed the cut at last week's International Series Philippines. The Hong Kong Open features a number of LIV players, including Tom McKibbin, who leads at 15 under after two days, 10 shots ahead of Kim.
Kim could still be re-signed by a LIV team, but he said he's unsure of his schedule for next year.
“I don’t think I’ll play as much Asian Tour as I thought [in 2026]," Kim told Bunkered. "I will be playing some, but I’m just going to see how it goes. I have no idea what my plans are for next year.”
