On her Instagram reel, American tennis star Coco Gauff shared that she is in Cannes, France. She is enjoying a meal, but the food choice is a head scratcher given her recent stomach illness at the Mutua Madrid Open.

Gauff got ill on the court in her match against Sorana Cirstea, but somehow managed to win. She was eliminated in the next round by Linda Noskova.

In addition to Gauff, many players, including Madison Keys, Iga Swiatek, and Marin Cilic were sick, attributed to either a virus or food poisoning.

What Gauff ate

Gauff showed a plate of oysters and wrote: “I’m officially grown…I like oysters now.”

Fans who watched her vomit on court on three days ago could not believe what they were seeing.

Many want to see a healthy and thriving Gauff at the upcoming Italian Open where she will be playing singles and doubles with Caty McNally, her partner of yesteryear. Dubbed “McCoco,” fans cannot wait to see their reunion on court.

Of course, she needs to be healthy to defend her French Open title next month also. While the place and oysters look lovely, we implore you, Coco, to be careful out there.
