Gabriella Fernandes took her title dreams up a notch with UFC on ESPN 72 win

LAS VEGAS – Gabriella Fernandes met the media Saturday after her unanimous decision win over Julija Stoliarenko at UFC on ESPN 72.

Fernandes (11-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC) outworked Stoliarenko (11-9-1 MMA, 2-7 UFC) on the prelims at the UFC Apex. It was the Brazilian's third straight UFC win after an 0-2 start in the promotion in 2023.

Afterward, the 31-year-old flyweight said her resume is starting to become one that warrants inclusion in the title conversation.

"If everyone believes in me, I've got to believe in myself, right?" Fernandes told MMA Junkie at her post-fight news conference. "… These are just steps and levels. These are things in your career that you have to go through. These are the things in my career I have to go through to get the things I want most."
