Girls tennis roundup: LQPV/D-B nabs a 4-3 win at Marshall
Aug. 22—MARSHALL — The Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd girls tennis team took three of four singles matches to knock off host Marshall, 4-3 on Friday.
Maya Virji, Reese Koosmann and Greta Hacker all won in singles for LQPV/D-B at Nos. 2, 3 and 4.
The lone doubles win came courtesy of Brianna Borstad and Aidyn Bonn. They beat the Tigers' Julia Pafko and Paige Doose at No. 2 doubles, 6-1, 6-1.
Alia Randt, Rachel Rankin and Isabelle Wallin each scored singles wins for Minnewaska in a victory over Foley at Alexandria.
Randt beat the Falcons' Olivia Sauer 6-1, 6-1 to win at No. 1 singles. Rankin took No. 2 singles for the Lakers with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Lydia Anderson. Wallin capped off the singles wins by taking No. 4 singles over Abby Kampa, 6-4, 6-2.
Minnewaska travels to Montevideo for a West Central Conference match at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
