Basketball superstar Caitlin Clark has left town, playing in the Wednesday pro-am at the Annika LPGA event at Pelican Golf Club. The Indiana Fever star on the WNBA played for the second consecutive year, brining different eyeballs to the LPGA than usual.

That leaves the star-studded field to play for the $ 3.25 million purse with the winner taking home $ 487,500. It’s the penultimate event on the LPGA, with the CME Globe Tour Championship ending the year next week in Naples, Fla.

While World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul is not playing, World No. 2 Nelly Korda has returned to defend her title from last year. She’s actually won here three times but has not won on the LPGA this season after winning seven times a year ago. Fourteen of the top 25 players in the world are in action as are 18 of the 28 different winners this year.

One of the three sponsor exemptions went to Kai Trump, President Donald Trump’s granddaughter, who recently committed to play college golf at the University of Miami. The teenager said earlier in the week that she received plenty of advice from her grandfather and from Tiger Woods.
