Welcome to I Tried It, a GOLF.com series about golf items – apparelgearaccessories and more – that we've recently taken out for a spin. We're here to give our honest, no-frills takes on the latest and greatest golf or golf-adjacent items. So, scroll down to read about what we love about golf's newest (or new to us) products.

The weather finally turned here in Arizona, with cool mornings and evenings replacing the scorching sun-up to sun-down summer heat that lasted well into October this year.

The fresh temps mean I can finally start walking the golf course again – my favorite way to play. And now that I’ve joined the push-cart club, walking feels even more effortless, especially with BIG MAX’s latest edition, the Blade IP 2 push cart, which I took out for a test spin on my most recent round. Here are the things I loved most about it.

Portability

The best feature of the Blade IP 2 is that it folds down into a nearly flat position in just two steps, making storage and portability a breeze. The rear wheels fold automatically, so it takes up very little space in the back of the car or in the garage, where I keep mine between rounds. It’s not heavy either – the aerospace-grade aluminum is so light (13.6 lbs) that I can lift it easily with one hand. But once the cart is locked in place for use, it feels sturdy, not flimsy.

Adjustable push height

The Blade IP 2 enables you to set your desired push height for the handle, which is a truly nice feature, especially when you’re only 5’4″.

Foot brakes

Two foot breaks offer plenty of stopping power, even on slippery, uneven terrain.

Smooth ride

The three wheels provided a super-smooth ride, and I had no issues going up and down hills. I made sure to be careful going over curbs and other elevated surfaces, but the cart has zero performance issues during the round.

Variety

I love that this cart is available in more colors than basic black. You can choose from four other options, from white to charcoal, or black with red or lime green accents.

Bungee clips

Not gonna lie – these took me an embarrassingly long time to adjust properly around the base of my bag. But once I got the hang of it, I appreciated the tight squeeze the cords gave the bag, allowing it to stay securely fastened throughout the round.

Storage

As someone with a lot of stuff, the XL storage box on the handle is a major plus. It has enough room for a standard water bottle, rangefinder and more. I removed all my headcovers before playing, but investing in a basket that stretches across the bottom of the cart would be a wise move for anyone who like to have more items out in the open instead of zipped in your bag.

Ultimately, the only thing I felt could be improved about the cart is the inclusion of a few accessories, like an external beverage holder and phone clip. But as luck would have it, BIG MAX is currently running an epic promotion: Every push cart order includes a free accessory bundle (attachable beverage holder, phone holder and umbrella holder) – an $ 87.50 value! So take advantage while you can. If you’re a walking golfer, you’ll surely love all this push cart has to offer.
