Linn Grant wasn't the only winner at The Annika as flurry of LPGA players come up clutch

Linn Grant began the day with a one-stroke lead at The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican and made it look effortless on Sunday. The woman who made history when she beat the men by nine strokes at another event hosted by Sorenstam, won her second LPGA title by three on a sun-splashed day in Belleair, Florida.

Grant, 26, became the 29th different winner on the LPGA this season. An inconsequential short missed putt for par on the 72nd hole led to the first bogey for Grant since her first hole of the day on Friday. The former Arizona State star finished at 19 under, winning for the first time since 2023.

“We were talking about it yesterday how full circle it is,” said Grant. “I mean, I’ve been talking about it in media all week. I’ve been playing in her events, and it’s just so fun to obviously win anything, but to stand here with her tournament.”

Karis Davidson of Australia and Pauline Roussin-Bouchard of France pour Champagne over Linn Grant of Sweden after her winning putt on the 18th green during the final round of The ANNIKA at Pelican Golf Club on November 16, 2025 in Belleair, Florida.

Major winner Jennifer Kupcho came up short in her efforts to win a second title this season but still enjoyed a massive payday. An eagle on Friday on the par-5 14th and a birdie on Thursday helped Kupcho clinch the Aon Risk Reward Challenge and the $ 1 million prize.

“I think I was stressing about it really all like the last three weeks,” said Kupcho. “Really stressed about it obviously this week. But to be able to make an eagle, that was insane on Friday and pretty cool.

“I mean, obviously it wasn’t just that one round, one hole, it was the whole year. Yeah, to be able to say I’m a winner of Aon Risk Reward is pretty cool. I’ve been pretty close the last couple years. To finally get it done is awesome.”

Gaby Lopez finished solo third at 15 under while Charley Hull, Auston Kim and Gaby Lopez all took a share of fourth, five shots back.

Points race update for CME Group Troup Championship

While there was plenty of attention paid to the top of the board, there were several tournaments within a tournament at this week’s Annika as players battled to finish in the top 60 of the CME points race to qualify for the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship with its $ 11 million purse and $ 4 million winner’s prize.

Others, meanwhile, battled for the chance to keep their cards for 2026.

Former Arkansas standout Brooke Matthews entered the week No. 62 in the CME points race and clinched her first start at the CME with an ace and an eagle in a closing 65. Matthews tied for eighth to move to 59th on the CME points and left Pelican with a two-year lease to a Lamborghini.

“I still can’t believe it. I blacked out,” Matthew told Golf Channel’s Tom Abbott of her first ever ace. “I can’t wait to watch it on film because I still can’t really remember it.”

Moments after Lucy Li birdied the 18th hole with a fabulous approach to play her way into the CME field, Nataliya Guseva holed out for birdie on the 72nd hole to cement her place with a 63-68 over the weekend.

Guseva began the week 64th on the CME points list and moved up to 57th. Li vaulted up 13 spots to 58th.

Pajaree Anannarukarn finished right on the bubble at 60th.

Players who moved outside the top 60 include Jenny Shin (61st), Wei-Ling Hsu (62nd) and Cassie Porter (64th).

Alexa Pano began the week No. 100 on the CME points list and made a clutch par on 18 to finish 97th. Germany’s Aline Krauter missed the cut but slid in at No. 100 to keep her card. Thailand’s Pornanong Phatlum slid down three places after a missed cut to finish 101st.
