Opera review: Verdi’s Falstaff is a Comic Treat at Glyndebourne

When an early 17th century play is turned into a late 19th century opera which is then given a setting in the 1940s, it sounds like a recipe for utter confusion, but Richard Jones’ production at Glyndebourne of Verdi’s Falstaff makes it all work to impressive comic effect.
