PGA Tour Champions set for regular-season finale at SAS Championship
The PGA Tour Champions heads to its regular-season finale, this week’s SAS Championship.
Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, North Carolina, is tournament host. This marks the 25th anniversary for the SAS Championship.
Not only will the results of this event set the stage for the PGA Tour Champions postseason but it will also help determine the final spot on each team’s roster for the World Champions Cup.
Who’s playing in the 2025 SAS Championship?
The top 13 players in the latest Charles Schwab Cup standings are in the SAS field.

After this week, only the top 72 in the standings advance to the three-tournament Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs.

The field will then go to 54 for the middle of the three playoff events and then only the top 36 advance to the Charles Schwab Cup Championship at Phoenix Country Club.
Also to be decided at the conclusion of the SAS Championship are the final three players for the 2025 World Champions Cup. This event will be played for the second time in December and it features three teams, the U.S., Europe and an International squad, in a Ryder Cup/Presidents Cup-style event.
Each team has six players and five have been named for each team so far. The sixth player will be determined Sunday based on the Schwab points standings at the conclusion of the SAS Championship.
