Trinity Rodman Stops Fan From Spoiling Boyfriend's Birthday Tribute
Trinity Rodman wished a happy birthday to her boyfriend — tennis star Ben Shelton — on Instagram, but when a hater tried to spoil the post, the Washington Spirit forward wasn’t having it.
Rodman and Shelton have quickly become one of the most popular athlete couples in the world. During the NWSL mid-season break, while recovering from injury, Trinity was often spotted supporting Shelton at tennis tournaments — and he does the same whenever he gets the chance to watch the Spirit play.
Last Thursday, Shelton turned 23, and Rodman shared a heartfelt Instagram post to celebrate him. However, one commenter tried to rain on the moment, writing, “Where do I click to make this go away?”
Rodman’s reply was short and sharp: “Scroll.”
While social media hate is unfortunately common for athletes, Rodman continues to show she’s more than capable of defending herself with confidence and class.
Trinity Rodman Might Be the Last Athlete You Want to Mess With
The Washington Spirit forward has made a name for herself not just through her talent and clutch performances for club and country, but also for her unapologetic personality and fearless attitude off the pitch.
While her last name might sound familiar — her father is Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman — Trinity has made it clear in multiple interviews and social media posts that she’s carving her own path and does not keep contact with him.
Rodman has never shied away from shutting down disrespect or uncomfortable comments. Whether it’s in interviews, Instagram stories, or other platforms, she speaks her mind.
During the recent tournament in Wimbledon, she called out fans who repeatedly mispronounced her name and kept mentioning her father, reminding everyone that she stands on her own legacy.
