UFC Fight Night 265 video: All nine finishes from debut in Qatar
For the fourth straight event, the UFC had finishes coming with all kinds of regularity. It was a good time for it: the promotion’s debut in the Middle Eastern country of Qatar.
The prelims started with back-to-back decisions, but then the pace picked up in a big way, and nine of the next 12 fights had stoppages – making the competition for bonus money a tough call.
In the headliner, Arman Tsarukyan (23-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) fought for the first time since April 2024 and submitted Dan Hooker (24-13 MMA, 14-9 UFC) in the lightweight headliner to keep himself in the title conversation. He was set for a title shot earlier this year, but was injured during his weight cut and pulled out the day before the fight. Now he wants a title shot against new champion Ilia Topuria, the former featherweight titleholder.
