Nov. 25—Disc golfers have a new course in Newton to use for competitions. The Newton City Council on Nov. 20 voted 5-1 — with Randy Ervin voting no — in favor of upgrading the disc golf course at Woodland Park, a move that will no doubt please the golfers who frequent Maytag Park for leisure and competitive play.
