Arman Tsarukyan Targets Paddy Pimblett for Summer Showdown
There’s no denying the momentum behind one of the UFC’s most recognizable lightweights. Paddy Pimblett has risen from local Liverpool hero to global fan favorite, riding a wave of charisma, confidence, and an undefeated UFC run. Now ranked #8 in the lightweight division, the former Cage Warriors champion has caught the attention of fans and fighters alike. But while some praise his rise, others see it as the perfect opportunity to make a statement — and earn a wider fanbase of their own.
One such name is Arman Tsarukyan. The Armenian-born, Russian-based contender currently sits near the top of the lightweight division, widely regarded as one of the most dangerous names in the title picture.
In a recent interview with Red Corner MMA, Tsarukyan didn’t shy away from a potential summer clash with Pimblett. ‘He just beat Michael Chandler and he has a six or seven fight win streak and he never lose in UFC,’ Tsarukyan said. ‘I’ll take that because he has a big name… it makes sense. To get more fans from the UK.’

The feeling is mutual. Pimblett, in comments made previously and captured by MMA Crazy, expressed confusion over Tsarukyan’s intentions. The Brit dismissed Tsarukyan’s focus, saying, ‘I won’t watch Chandler and Pimblett’ — then questioned why Arman was even tweeting about him if he wasn’t watching.
Whether it’s marketing strategy or mutual disdain, a clash between Pimblett and Tsarukyan would be more than just rankings — it would be personal. And it just might deliver fireworks.
