Here’s MMAmania.com’s UFC 321 betting odds ‘Weekend Lock’ … what’s yours?
UFC 321 is less than 24 hours away …
It all goes down this weekend (Sat., Oct. 25, 2025) inside Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In the main event, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight roost-ruler, Tom Aspinall, is set to make his first-ever title defense as undisputed champion against former interim kingpin, Ciryl Gane.
Will it last longer than one minute?
Regardless, we have a weekly series here at MMAmania.com called “Weekend Lock,” where we share one bet that we predict will slap on “Fight Island” when the chaotic dust settles. We also want to hear what our readers think (that’s you!), so tell us your most confident UFC 321 betting lock in the comments section below (full UFC 321 odds here).
Last week’s recap: Boy, did I miss at UFC Vancouver. Matt Frevola got dominated by Kyle Nelson and should have been finished, too.
MMA betting is among the hardest types of sports betting; however, let’s keep on, keeping on below:
In UFC 321’s co-main event, No. 1-ranked Strawweight contender, Virna Jandiroba, takes on No. 5-seededMackenzie Dern for the vacant 115-pound title in a rematch nearly five years in the making.
This week, I’m locking in Dern vs. Jandiroba to “Go the Distance” at -110.
Here’s why:
Both women are incredibly durable and evenly matched, which usually leads to long, competitive fights rather than quick finishes. In their first meeting back in 2020, Dern edged out a close unanimous decision after three rounds of brawling with striking and limited grappling.
But, neither came close to finishing the other.
Fast forward to this weekend, and both have only improved. Jandiroba has developed sharper boxing and better defensive movement, while Dern’s striking and cardio have come a long way. But, at their cores, they’re still grapplers who neutralize each other on the ground. Jandiroba has never been finished in her 25-fight career, while Dern — despite her reputation as a submission ace — has shown serious grit and recovery in wars with Yan Xiaonan and Amanda Lemos.
Expect a tactical, grind-heavy championship fight where positional control and cage time outweigh highlight-reel moments. Both women are too defensively sound on the mat to get caught early, and both have enough respect for each other’s submissions to avoid taking reckless chances. The first meeting went to decision, and everything points to a repeat — just over five rounds instead of three.
What could go wrong?
Both Dern and Jandiroba are elite submission specialists. If either woman manages to secure dominant position — particularly back mount — it could end in a flash. Indeed, a well-timed armbar or choke attempt in transition could blow up the under bet early.
Still, given their mutual toughness and style matchup, Dern vs. Jandiroba to “Go the Distance” at -110 looks like one of the most balanced and value-rich plays on UFC 321’s card.
