RSM Classic field finalized, 28 of top 100 in the world will play at Sea Island Resort
Four major champions, 10 winners during the 2025 season and 12 winners of multiple PGA Tour events lead the field for the 16th RSM Classic Nov. 20-23 at the Sea Island Resort on St. Simons Island, Ga.
The tournament field of 152 players (four more will be added after a qualifier on Nov. 17) was finalized on Nov. 14 for the final event of FedEx Cup Fall and the season overall.
Davis Love III, a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, the 1997 PGA champion and a two-time Players champion, is in the field, along with 2007 Masters and 2015 British Open champion Zach Johnson, 2023 British Open champion Brian Harman and 2012 U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson.
Harris English of St. Simons Island, Ga., is the highest-ranked player in the world in the field, at No. 13. Harman is 32nd and Andrew Novak of St. Simons Island is 33rd, leading 28 players among the top 100 in the world rankings who will play at Sea Island.
Also playing are 2017 Players champion Si Woo Kim, 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Player of the Year Johnny Keefer and 2026 U.S. Presidents Cup captain Brandt Snedeker.
Six past RSM Classic winners are playing but not defending champion Maverick McNealy. Other previous winners in the field are Kevin Kisner, Mackenzie Hughes, Tyler Duncan, Austin Cook, Robert Streb and Adam Svensson.
First Coast players in the field
Ten players with First Coast ties are making the short trip up I-95 for the tournament, led by world No. 58 Nico Echavarria, No. 65 Bud Cauley, Puerto Rico Open winner Karl Vilips and Nease and University of North Florida graduate Vince Covello.
What’s the RSM Classic format?
The field will play one round each on the Seaside (par-70) and Plantation (par-72) Courses in the first two rounds. After the cut, the weekend field will play both rounds on the Seaside Course.
The tournament purse is $ 7 million, with $ 1.26 million going to the winner. Players who finish inside the top-100 on the FedEx Cup points list will retain their Tour card for 2026.
