UFC books Alex Morono vs. 'TUF 33' winner Daniil Donchenko
Alex Morono is back, and he’ll take on Daniil Donchenko in a welterweight bout.
The fight takes place Feb. 7 at UFC Fight Night 266 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Morono (24-12 MMA, 13-9 UFC) aims to snap a three-fight skid. A member of the UFC roster since 2016, Morono has put forth various exciting battles over the span of his 23-fight UFC tenure. Key victories for the Fortis MMA product include Court McGee, Tim Means, Donald Cerrone and Max Griffin.
Ukraine’s Donchenko (12-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) won “The Ultimate Fighter 33” in September when he quickly finished Rodrigo Sezinando with strikes in Round 1. He is the former Naiza FC champion and has 10 finishes in 12 professional appearances.
