PFL full fight: Usman Nurmagomedov sleeps Alfie Davis in title defense

Over recent years, Usman Nurmagomedov has proven to be arguably the best talent outside the UFC, and his latest title defense at PFL furthered that case.

Earlier this month, Nurmagomedov (21-0) faced 2025 PFL lightweight tournament winner Alfie Davis in the main event of PFL Dubai – which took place on Feb. 7 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He was a big favorite entering the bout, and Nurmagomedov showed why. After outstriking the Englishman for over 10 minutes, Nurmagomedov took down Davis (20-6-1) and put him to sleep towards the end of the third round with a nasty reverse arm-triangle choke. It was a big win for the Dagestani fighter, who completed his first title defense under the PFL banner.

Nurmagomedov, protoge of Khabib Nurmagomedov, is unbeaten his MMA career. Prior to holding the PFL lightweight title, he was a Bellator lightweight champion. He was stripped of the Bellator belt after the promotion was disbanded following their purchase by PFL. Nurmagomedov holds wins over Paul Hughes, Benson Henderson, and Patricky Freire.
