However, the historic fight card marks a major showing for UFC as the United States prepares to celebrate its 250-year anniversary in July.
“We’re ticketing 85,000 people and tickets are free,” White said ahead of the June 14 event. “We’ll announce how we’re giving them away soon.”
The UFC White House fight card did create some controversy recently after several high-profile MMA stars were notably left out of the Washington D.C.-based event. Conor McGregor and Jon Jones are two former champions that many UFC fans expected to see involved.

UFC is banking on its massive global audience to show up in historic numbers for the White House showcase. If White’s number of 85,000 fans is accurate, that will mark the largest attendance in UFC history by a wide margin.
The current UFC attendance record is held by UFC 243. Israel Adesanya and Forest Whitaker attracted over 57,127 fight supporters at Marvel Stadium in Australia.
