I’m diabetic — I avoid drinking 3 ‘healthy’ beverages because they spike my blood sugars

When I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2006, my treatment plan was very regimented. At any given meal, I couldn’t consume more than 10g of sugar. This meant fruit, chocolate, biscuits, yoghurts, and even bread were off the menu for almost a year.
