Jared Anderson finalizing co-promotional deal with Queensberry, UK debut against Solomon Dacres
U.S. heavyweight Jared Anderson is set to become the latest boxer to join the home of the heavyweight division. Anderson, whose main promoter is Bob Arum's Top Rank, is finalizing a co-promotional deal with Frank Warren's Queensberry, sources close to the situation told Uncrowned.
Queensberry boasts many of the top heavyweight boxers in the world, including WBO champion Fabio Wardley.
Fittingly, if the deal is completed, Anderson would debut for Queensberry — and in the UK — on the undercard of Wardley's maiden title defense vs. Daniel Dubois on May 9 at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England.
Anderson's first fight outside of the UK would see him square off against former English heavyweight champion Solomon Dacres.
Dan Rafael was first with news of the potential fight.
Dacres (10-1, 3 KOs) is coming off a career-best win over the previously unbeaten Ukrainian Vladyslav Sirenko on the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Dubois undercard in July. It was Dacres' first fight since being knocked out by David Adeleye in the opening round.
Anderson (18-1, 15 KOs) is just one fight removed from his devastating knockout loss to Martin Bakole. He labored to an unimpressive decision win over Marios Kollias in his February 2025 comeback fight.
Before being upset by Bakole, Anderson was considered the U.S.'s heavyweight hope at a time when many of the top fighters in boxing's blue-ribbon division are from Europe — and particularly the U.K.
Signing with Queensberry would allow Anderson to square off against some of the top fighters in the weight class, including Wardley, Dubois, Tyson Fury, WBC interim champion Agit Kabayel and Moses Itauma.
