Natalia Silva wants next title shot following Alexa Grasso win at UFC 315

Natalia Silva believes it's her turn to get a crack at the UFC women's flyweight title.

After dominantly defeating former UFC champion Alexa Grasso at Saturday's UFC 315, Silva (19-5-1 MMA, 7-0 UFC) called for her shot at the belt. Silva was asked about what she wanted next minutes before the UFC women's flyweight championship fight between Valentina Shevchenko and Manon Fiorot, so she didn't have a clear callout in mind. However, no matter who was going to win the belt, Silva was certain she could make a sellable fight with either Shevchenko or Fiorot.

"My eyes are set on the title," Silva said at the UFC 315 post-fight press congerence. "That's what I want next. There's even stories with both of those girls to promote this fight. With Valentina, she was asked about me one time, and she said she doesn't know who I was, so it's about time she knows who I am. With Manon, she came in to replace me when I broke my arm, and I was supposed to fight Victoria Leonardo, and she came in to replacement, so there's story lines with both of them."

Shevchenko defendex her belt in Montreal. She outpointed Fiorot in a unanimous decision in the co-main event of the card, just moments after Silva's dominant decision win over Grasso.

In regard to her latest win, which put her on a 13-fight wining streak, Silva said she's happy with how things worked out for her at UFC 315.

"I'm so happy and so emotional," Silva said. "I worked for this and worked a lot for this moment, and now I'm so happy. I'm feeling very emotional for this victory."
