Emma Raducanu will be back in singles action in Thursday afternoon when she takes on Rebecca Sramkova of Slovakia at Queen’s.

Raducanu lost her doubles match alongside Katie Boulter on Wednesday as the British pair succumbed 6-2, 7-5 to top seeds in the doubles draw, Erin Routliffe and Lyudmyla Kichenok, but the 22-year-old will be hopeful of bouncing back against the world No 41 Sramkova.

Raducanu impressed when sweeping aside Spanish opponent Cristina Bucsa 6-1, 6-2 in her opening match but is likely to face a stiffer test in Sramkova, who overcame last year’s Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcíkova 6-4, 6-3 on Tuesday.

Two British players take centre stage before Raducanu, with Boulter first on the Andy Murray Arena against fifth-seeded Diana Shnaider. Boulter rallied from a set down to beat Ajla Tomljanovic in the round of 32.

Heather Watson, who got past Yulia Putintseva in the first round proper, then faces Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon champion.

You can follow live coverage of Boulter and Raducanu’s matches on our live blog from 12pm GMT.

Qinwen Zheng follows the Raducanu-Sramokova showdown, the No 1 seed taking on America’s McCartney Kessler, who knocked out Britain’s Francesca Jones in her opening match.
