Tiger Woods' Latest Public Appearance Turns Heads After Major Injury
Tiger Woods’ Latest Public Appearance Turns Heads After Major Injury originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
There isn’t a golfer in the history of the sport quite like Tiger Woods. While the game always commands more attention when he’s competing, Woods has been sidelined since early March after suffering a torn Achilles while training ahead of the Masters—an event he had been expected to participate in.
Though he still has a long road of rehab ahead before returning to the PGA Tour—especially given the string of injuries he’s battled throughout his storied career—49-year-old Woods appeared to be in good spirits on Thursday, notably without a boot on his surgically repaired left leg.
He was spotted out on the golf course to support his son, Charlie, who’s been making waves on the junior golf circuit.

Charlie is currently competing in the Florida Amateur Championship and recently earned his first AJGA title by winning the Team TaylorMade Invitational.
At just 15 years old, he shot an impressive 15-under for the tournament, including a final-round 66, to top a field filled with some of the sport’s most promising young prospects.
Fans reacted to seeing Tiger back out on the course:
“You love to see it!” A fan said.
Someone else added, “Already out of the boot.”
Another fan posted, “At this point, not getting hopeful for it. Just ready for Charlie to develop into a star.”
“Tiger woods is a robot at this point,” a fan reacted.
One more fan commented, “Sure. Until he hurts another body part doing unnecessary “training” that no golfer should be doing.”
