UFC 325 official poster: Alexander Volkanovski looms over Diego Lopes

The UFC will kick off its new era with Paramount+ and CBS with two numbered events in January, and the second of those will come “Down Under” with UFC 325.

On Jan. 31 at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski will put his title on the line in a rematch with familiar foe Diego Lopes. The pair first met at UFC 314 in April, with “The Great” earning a unanimous decision victory to claim the vacant belt left behind by Ilia Topuria.

It will be Volkanovski’s first appearance on home soil in nearly three years, and his first in Sydney since November 2017. Could Volkanovski (27-4 MMA, 14-3 UFC) be having his last stand against Lopes (27-7 MMA, 6-2 UFC), who is eager to avenge the loss after bouncing back with a highlight-reel finish of Jean Silva in September.

Promotional efforts for UFC 325 are underway. Volkanovski and Lopes had a faceoff at a seasonal press conference this month, and now the organization has released the official poster for the event, which sees the champion looming over the challenger with a heavy tint of green (via X):
