There were many questions surrounding Brock Lesnar's venture into MMA, with one of those being his heart.

Yes, Lesnar was a freak athlete. Unlike many WWE wrestlers, he actually had a strong background in combat sports, being an NCAA Division I wrestling champion. Yet, many wondered if he had what it took to overcome adversity through damage in the sport, and he proved that he did in his second UFC heavyweight title defense.

Back in 2010, Lesnar took on fellow giant Shane Carwin. Lesnar was dropped, battered and nearly finished in the first round of the fight. However, he hung in there and managed to come back in the second to submit Carwin. It was an impressive rally from the WWE superstar that gained him the respect of many in the MMA community.
