UFC Perth gets new bout including 'Street Buddha' debut
UFC Perth is up to eight fights.
The newest addition is a lightweight bout as Kody Steele travels down under once again, this time to battle Road to UFC, Season 4 winner Dom Mar Fan, a native of Australia. UFC Fight Night 275 takes place May 2 at RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Steele (7-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) entered the UFC with a lot of hype after an impressive win on Dana White's Contender Series in 2024. He debuted in February 2025 when he was upset by Rong Zhu. Though Steele lost by unanimous decision, the bout earned the pair of lightweights an extra $ 50,000 each with Fight of the Night honors.
Nicknamed "Street Buddha," Mar Fan (9-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) plans to introduce himself to fans who did not follow Road to UFC, Season 4. During the tournament, Mar Fan defeated Yuji Ephoeviga, Jae Hyun Park, and Sang Uk Kim to win the lightweight bracket.
The UFC Perth lineup includes:
- Jack Della Maddalena vs. Carlos Prates
- Beneil Dariush vs. Quillan Salkilld
- Tai Tuivasa vs. Sean Sharaf
- Tim Elliott vs. Steve Erceg
- Jacob Malkoun vs. Gerald Meerschaert
- Robert Bryczek vs. Cam Rowston
