High school golf is well underway.
To catch up with what's been happening on courses around the Marion area, fans are encouraged to vote in our latest polls, which will be open through early morning of Monday, Aug. 18, at MarionStar.com and its app.
Below are the nominees for the Marion Star Preseason Boys and Girls Golfer of the Year Polls.

- Jayden Collins, senior, Highland, 41 average for nine holes last year, honorable mention MOAC.
- Asher Gates, freshman, River Valley, first-year varsity player, veteran of high-level junior tournaments.
- Jaxon Joliff, senior, North Union, 39.3 average for nine holes last year, first-team CBC Mad River Division.
- Dylan Moore, senior, Pleasant, first-team MOAC, district qualifier last year.
- Jack Seckel, senior, Pleasant, first-team MOAC, district qualifier last year.
- Chase Smith, senior, River Valley, 38.9 average for nine holes last year, first-team MOAC, district qualifier.

- Sierra Fitzpatrick, senior, Highland, three-year letter winner.
- Emery Gorenflo, sophomore, Pleasant, 51 average for nine holes last year, second-team MOAC.
- Reese Hunt, senior, Pleasant, 60 average for nine holes, honorable mention MOAC.
- Gabby Lindsey, junior, North Union, 59.2 average for nine holes last year, district qualifier.
- Saleen Miller, junior, Northmor, 53 average for nine holes last year.
